Install as app

This site can be installed as an app. There is no app store involved, no account to make and no package to download: your browser gives the pages it already fetches their own icon and their own window, without tabs or an address bar.

Every browser hides the button somewhere different, and Apple’s never offers it by itself — which is the only reason this page exists.

On an iPhone or iPad

Open the site in Safari, tap the Share button, scroll down and choose Add to Home Screen. From iOS 16.4 onwards the same option appears in Chrome, Edge and Firefox. iOS will never suggest this on its own, on any browser.

On Android

In Chrome, open the browser menu and choose Install app — some versions call it Add to Home screen, and some offer it as a strip along the bottom of the page. Firefox and Samsung Internet have the same entry under their own menus.

On a computer

In Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera or Vivaldi, look for the small install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar. If it is not showing, the browser menu has the same command, usually near “Cast, save and share” or “Apps”.

In Safari on macOS Sonoma or later, use File → Add to Dock.

Firefox on the desktop does not install web apps at all; a pinned tab is as close as it gets.

What you get, and what you do not

You get an icon, a window of its own, and a site that opens in one tap instead of three. What you do not get is anything running on your device: no background process, no notifications, no permissions to grant, nothing asking to start when you log in.

It is not an offline copy. This site ships no JavaScript at all — that is a deliberate choice, and you can read what it buys you on the privacy page — and offline support is a JavaScript feature. The installed app needs a connection, exactly like the page you are reading now.

Removing it is the same as removing any app: delete the icon. Nothing is left behind, because nothing was put anywhere.
